Joe Gill

Joe Gill (1919-2006) was an American magazine writer and comic book scripter. He is best known for his work at Charlton Comics, where he co-created popular superheroes such as Captain Atom, Peacemaker, and Judomaster. Gill is considered one of the most prolific writers in the comic book industry, having written a staggering number of comics throughout his career. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Gill began writing for Timely Comics (later Marvel Comics) during the Golden Age of Comic Books. Much of his work remained unsigned, but his contributions to the industry were significant.
