Joe Hachem

Joseph Hachem (جوزف هاشم) is a Lebanese-Australian professional poker player who gained fame for becoming the first Australian to win the World Series of Poker main event. This victory earned him a record-breaking $7.5 million prize. Hachem continued his success in poker by winning the Five Diamonds Poker Classic at the Bellagio Casino, earning him an additional $2.2 million and becoming one of only six players to win both a World Series of Poker main event and a World Poker Tour championship. With over $12.2 million in tournament winnings, Hachem ranks as the 35th-highest earning poker player in live tournaments. Born on March 11, 1966, in Lebanon, Hachem moved to Melbourne, Australia, with his family in 1972. Prior to his poker career, he worked as a chiropractor for 13 years.
