Joe Klein
Joe Klein (born September 7, 1946) is an American political commentator and author. He gained recognition for his work as a columnist for Time magazine and is best known for his novel Primary Colors, a roman à clef depicting Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign. Klein is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a former Guggenheim Fellow. He has authored several books, including Politics Lost, which explores the influence of the 'pollster–consultant industrial complex.' Klein has contributed articles and book reviews to various publications, including The New Republic, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Life, and Rolling Stone. Born in Rockaway Beach, Queens, he graduated from the Hackley School and the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in American civilization.
