John Batiste

John Robinson Batiste is a retired officer of the United States Army, author, and co-founder of Batiste Leadership. Born on October 7, 1952, in Fairfax County, Virginia, Batiste was commissioned as an infantry officer from West Point in 1974. Over the course of 31 years, he served in five US Army heavy divisions, including commanding the 1st Infantry Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Batiste is a two-time combat veteran, having served in the Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also commanded the 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, and the 2nd Brigade of the 1st Armored Division during their deployment to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Batiste's leadership and military experience have made him a respected figure in his field.
