John Duff
John Francis Duff (January 17, 1895 – January 8, 1958) was a Canadian racecar driver. He achieved great success in the racing world, winning numerous races and becoming a renowned figure in Canadian motorsport. Duff was inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame and is celebrated as one of the only two Canadians to race and win on England's famous Brooklands Motor Course. He holds the distinction of being the first Canadian to compete in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans and the only Canadian to secure an overall victory in the race. Duff also held over fifty world records for speed and endurance, which helped elevate the reputation of the Bentley car company. His impressive performances in his debut Indianapolis 500 and board track race solidify his position as one of the foremost Canadian automobile racers of the first half of the twentieth century. John Duff was born in Kiukiang, China.
