John Hogg Biography
John Joseph Hogg is a former Australian politician and actor. Born on March 19, 1949, in Brisbane, Hogg served as a Senator for Queensland from 1996 to 2014, representing the Labor Party. He also held the position of President of the Senate from 2008 to 2014. Before his political career, Hogg attended St Joseph's College and the University of Queensland, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science. He later completed a Diploma in Primary Teaching at Kedron Park Teachers College. Hogg worked as an official with the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association (SDA) from 1976 to 1996. In addition to his political work, Hogg has appeared in several movies and TV shows.
