John Palladino
John Palladino (March 29, 1920 – December 20, 2014) was an American Capitol Records producer and A&R executive. He is known for his work with renowned artists such as Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Paul McCartney, and Pink Floyd. Palladino, considered a pioneering recording engineer, was instrumental in perfecting analog tape recordings and developing new recording techniques. Born on March 29, 1920, in Ashley, Pennsylvania, he moved to Southern California at a young age. Palladino studied architecture at Los Angeles City College but also pursued his passion for music, playing in a band and gaining experience in recording at the college's radio station and recording studio. After serving in the Army Air Force, he returned to Los Angeles and continued his successful career in the music industry.
