John Stephen Parr is an English musician, singer, and songwriter, born on November 18, 1952, in Worksop, England. He gained recognition for his 1985 single 'St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion)', which reached number one in the US and number six in the UK. Parr is also known for his 1984 rock single 'Naughty Naughty', which reached number six on the US charts. Throughout his career, Parr has written and performed ten major motion-picture theme songs, including 'Three Men and a Baby' and 'The Running Man'. With over 10 million albums sold, he was nominated for a Grammy award in 1985 for 'St. Elmo's Fire'.
