John Charles Waite is a British rock singer and musician, born on July 4, 1952. He gained recognition as the lead singer and bassist of the rock band The Babys, known for their moderate chart success and hit songs like 'Isn't It Time' and 'Everytime I Think of You'. Following the disbandment of The Babys in 1980, Waite embarked on a successful solo career, releasing ten studio albums. He is best known for his 1984 hit single 'Missing You', which reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the top ten on the UK Singles Chart. Waite was also the lead vocalist for the rock bands Bad English. Throughout his career, he has established himself as a versatile and talented performer.
