Johnny Mountain

Johnny Mountain is a retired weathercaster known for his work at KABC-TV and KCBS-TV in Los Angeles, California. He began his career in the 1960s at WTVK in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he did weather for their newscasts and also portrayed Bozo the Clown. In 1977, he joined WLS-TV in Chicago before being persuaded by Dr. George Fischbeck to join KABC-TV. Mountain started as a weekend meteorologist and eventually added weekday afternoons and weeknights to his schedule. In the early 1990s, he shifted to weekday mornings. Throughout his career, Mountain became one of the most recognizable faces in local TV news.
