    Jon Collins Biography
    Jon Collins is a former American basketball player, known for his successful collegiate career at Eastern Illinois University. Between 1982–83 and 1985–86, Collins scored a then-school record of 1,702 points and was a three-time All-Mid Continent Conference First Team honoree. He was also twice named the Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Year. Collins averaged over 18 points per game in each of his final three seasons and scored over 500 total points. He reached double figures in 87 out of 90 games, including a school-record 53 straight. As a junior, Collins led the team to a 20–10 overall record and their first Mid-Continent Conference championship. He received honorable mention All-American nods from the Associated Press and Sporting News in 1984–85 and 1985–86 respectively.
