Jon Mirasty

Jonathon Gary Frank Mirasty (born June 4, 1982) is a Cree native Canadian ice hockey player who has had a successful career in multiple professional leagues including the WHL, KHL, and AHL. Known by his nickname 'Nasty,' Mirasty gained a devoted following due to his unique Mohawk hairstyle and his cheerful demeanor during fights. After initially intending to retire in 2006, Mirasty continued to play in the minor leagues, eventually earning a spot with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL. He also appeared in NHL exhibition games while representing the Crunch. In addition to his hockey career, Mirasty made his acting debut as a hockey player in the television series Shoresy. Currently, he is a player for the Binghamton Black Bears of the FPHL.
