Jon Peter Lewis

Jon Peter Lewis (born November 7, 1979) is an American singer and songwriter. He gained recognition as a finalist on the third season of American Idol, where he was frequently referred to as JPL. Following his time on the show, Lewis formed a duo called Midas Whale with Ryan Hayes and appeared on the fourth season of The Voice. Lewis has lived in various cities across the United States and graduated from Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1998. He has been involved in theater since a young age, starring in productions such as The Hobbit. Lewis is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and briefly attended Brigham Young University–Idaho with the intention of pursuing a career in medicine.
