Jonathan Fielding

Jonathan Evan Fielding (born 1942) is a board-certified physician in both Pediatrics and Preventive Medicine. He is the former director and health officer of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and a Distinguished Professor at UCLA. Fielding is also a co-director of the UCLA Center for Health Advancement. He was elected as a member of the Institute of Medicine in 1995 and has served as President of the American College of Preventive Medicine. With a strong educational background, Fielding received a B.A. in French from Williams College in 1964 and graduated from Harvard School of Medicine and Harvard School of Public Health.
