Jonathan Kim

Jonathan Hyung-joon Kim is a South Korean film producer born in 1960. With an impressive career spanning several decades, he has produced a total of 16 films, including some of South Korea's highest-grossing productions. Notably, Kim's work includes Silmido, the first film in the country's history to surpass 10 million domestic ticket sales. His contributions to the industry have earned him prestigious awards such as the Daejong Award for Best Picture and Best Executive Producer. Kim is also recognized for his involvement in successful films like Lies, Ditto, To Catch a Virgin Ghost, and the joint South Korean–Japanese production Virgin Snow. Additionally, he recently completed his term as chairman of the Korean Film Producers Association and served as a mentor for the Korean Film Council Filmmaker Development Lab.
