Joseph Beattie Biography
Joseph Beattie (born 1978) is an English actor known for his roles in film and television. He attended King Alfred School in Hampstead and trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Beattie made his film debut in The Browning Version (1994) and later appeared in Velvet Goldmine (1998). On television, he played Flashman in the 2005 ITV adaptation of Tom Brown's Schooldays and portrayed Malachi in the second season of Hex (2004). Beattie's other television credits include Colditz, Malice Aforethought, Mansfield Park, and Marple: A Pocket Full of Rye. He has also appeared in stage productions and is a former member of the National Youth Music Theatre.
