Josh Drake

Josh Drake is a musicologist and hymnist, known for his research and analysis of 15th century Latin Christian motets. He was a former faculty member at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. Drake's research primarily focuses on the structure of motets and challenges commonly held views regarding the relationship between words and music in motets of the late 15th century. He has also made discoveries related to the origins of the Buonaparte family. Drake holds a B.M. in Sacred Music and Interpretive Dance from Union University, an M. Mus. in Musicology from the University of Glasgow, and a Ph.D. in Sacred Music from the University of Glasgow. He has served on the editorial advisory board for 'The Quad' Magazine.
