Judy Kaye (born October 11, 1948) is an American singer and actress. With a career spanning stage musicals, plays, and operas, Kaye has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She has had notable runs on Broadway in popular musicals like The Phantom of the Opera, Ragtime, Mamma Mia!, and Nice Work If You Can Get It, where she won her second Tony award. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Kaye attended UCLA, studying drama and voice. Known for her impressive vocal range spanning three octaves, she effortlessly transitions between Broadway belt and soaring soprano. Kaye made her Broadway debut in the 1970s as a replacement Rizzo in Grease, followed by a small role in On the Twentieth Century.
