Judy Watson

Judy Watson (born 1959) is an Australian Waanyi multi-media artist known for her work in print-making, painting, video, and installation. Born in Mundubbera, Queensland, Watson is based in Brisbane. She studied at the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education, the University of Tasmania, and Monash University, where she honed her skills in lithography and other techniques. Watson's art is deeply rooted in Indigenous Australian histories and often explores the coexistence of different realities through the use of layered elements. She has received numerous high-profile commissions for public spaces, showcasing her talent and contribution to the art world.
