Julia Cho

Julia Cho (born July 5, 1975) is an American playwright and television writer. She is best known for her play 99 Histories, which explores themes of memory, mother-child relationships, and the Korean cultural concept of Chung. Cho's work has been widely recognized and she was awarded the Windham-Campbell Literature Prize in March 2020. Before its official premiere, 99 Histories was presented as a staged reading at various theaters including Mark Taper Forum, Sundance Institute Theatre Lab, New York Theatre Workshop, and South Coast Repertory's Pacific Playwrights Festival. Cho has made significant contributions to both the stage and television industry, showcasing her talent and versatility as a writer.
