Julie Hanna

Julie Hanna (born August 5, 1965) is an Egyptian-born technologist, entrepreneur, investor, and board director. She is known for her roles as Executive Chair of the Board of Kiva, a peer-to-peer lending and crowdfunding pioneer, and Special Advisor to X (formerly Google X), Alphabet's Moonshot Factory. Hanna has also served as a Venture Partner at Obvious Ventures. In 2015, she was appointed as the Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship by President Barack Obama. Hanna is a former board member of the Esalen Institute and Mozilla Corporation and has been a founding executive of five Silicon Valley technology companies. She holds a degree in computer science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
