Justin Pierre (born May 26, 1976) is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist hailing from Mahtomedi, Minnesota. He is best known as the co-founder and lead vocalist of the pop punk band Motion City Soundtrack. Growing up, Pierre developed a passion for skateboarding and hip-hop music, particularly artists like Run-DMC and the Beastie Boys. His musical tastes expanded during his teenage years, and he became a dedicated fan of alternative metal band Faith No More. Pierre studied at Mahtomedi High School, where his love for indie rock grew, influenced by bands such as Sonic Youth, The Boo Radleys, and The Pixies. In addition to his music career, Pierre has also shown interest in film making and music production.
