Justin Reed Biography
Justin Michael Reed (January 16, 1982 – October 20, 2017) was an American professional basketball player who played as a small forward. He was part of the 'Provine Posse', a group of three former Provine High School teammates who played together for the University of Mississippi's Ole Miss Rebels. Under the coaching of Rod Barnes, Reed became an all-around player and a dominant force in the Southeastern Conference. He was selected as an All-SEC player in each of his four years at Ole Miss. Reed guided the Rebels to their first ever 'Sweet Sixteen' appearance in 2001. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the second round (40th overall) of the 2004 NBA draft.
