Kahlil Ashanti Biography
Kahlil Ashanti is an American actor and writer, born on November 3, 1973 in Landstuhl, Germany. He started his career as a teenager, performing at community theaters and comedy clubs in the Midwest. After enlisting in the United States Air Force, he won the 1993 Air Force Worldwide Talent Contest and toured with the Air Force Entertainment troupe Tops in Blue. Following his honorable discharge in 1996, Kahlil performed his own magic and comedy dinner theater show in Las Vegas. In 2001, he moved to Los Angeles and began writing his one-man show Basic Training, which premiered Off-Broadway in 2008. In 2017, he played the role of Goat in the Amazon remake of The Tick.
