Kanya Sesser

Kanya Sesser is an American para-athlete and model born in September 1992. She was born with a congenital absence of both legs and was abandoned outside a Buddhist temple in Thailand as an infant. After being found and cared for by hospital staff, she was adopted by an American family in May 1998. Sesser grew up in Portland, Oregon, where she faced challenges integrating and learning English. Despite these obstacles, she taught herself to walk on her hands and underwent surgeries to correct her hand deformities. Today, Sesser is known for her impressive achievements as a para-athlete and her successful career as a model.
