Kara Jackson

Kara Jackson is an American poet, singer, and songwriter hailing from Oak Park, Illinois. She gained recognition for her exceptional talent and was honored as the United States National Youth Poet Laureate from 2019 to 2020. Kara's work has been featured in renowned publications such as Poetry, Frontier Poetry, Rookie Mag, Nimrod Literary Journal, The Lily, and Saint Heron. She has also released a collection of poems titled 'Bloodstone Cowboy' in 2019. In addition to her poetry, Kara is a musician with a studio album called 'Why Does the Earth Give Us People to Love?' set to be released in 2023.
