Karen Johal

Karen Johal (born 13 March 1991) is a British actress. She gained recognition for her role as Nicole Shelley on season 3 of the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso (2020). Johal further showcased her talent as Noreen Khan in the BBC series Phoenix Rise (2023). She is a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Manhattan, New York, where she performed on stage for The Public Theater and Carnegie Hall. In June 2023, she appeared in a national ad campaign for WhatsApp alongside British broadcaster Alex Scott. Johal was born in Birmingham, England, to British parents of Indian descent. She grew up in Aston and attended St. Clares Primary School and Perry Beeches Secondary School before enrolling at Birmingham Metropolitan College.
