Kathleen Zellner is an American attorney known for her work in wrongful conviction advocacy. Born in Midland, Texas, Zellner grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She attended Marquette University and the University of Missouri before earning her B.A. from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Zellner obtained her Juris Doctor from the Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1981, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. Throughout her career, she has represented notable clients such as Steven Avery, Kevin Fox, Ryan W. Ferguson, and Larry Eyler. Zellner has also advocated for 19 exonerees listed in the National Registry of Exonerations. Her work has been featured in the Netflix series 'Making a Murderer'.
