Katie Chapman

Katie Sarah Chapman (born 15 June 1982) is an English former footballer. She last played as a central midfielder for English FA WSL club Chelsea Ladies and was a member of the England women's national team. Known for her physical style of play, Chapman was often deployed in central defence for England. She began her football career at the age of ten, joining Millwall Lionesses. Chapman quickly became a regular starter for the team and won several titles, including the 1997 FA Women's Premier League Cup and FA Women's Cup. Throughout her career, Chapman's playing ability and profile drew comparisons to former England captain David Beckham.
