Kenneth Brian Mehlman (born August 21, 1966) is an American social entrepreneur, businessman, and former political figure. He currently serves as a member, global head of public affairs, and co-head of KKR Global Impact at investment firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, overseeing the firm's responsible investment efforts and Environmental Social Governance programs. Prior to his role at KKR, Mehlman worked as an attorney and partner at law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. Mehlman's political career includes serving as director of the White House Office of Political Affairs under President George W. Bush and managing Bush's 2004 re-election campaign. He also served as the 62nd Chairman of the Republican National Committee from 2005 to 2007 and was appointed to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council by President Bush in 2007.
