Ken Wharton
Ken Wharton (21 March 1916 – 12 January 1957) was a British racing driver from Smethwick, England. He competed in various motorsport disciplines including off-road trials, hillclimbs, rallying, sports cars, and single-seaters. Wharton made his World Championship Grand Prix debut in 1952 at the Swiss event, finishing 4th. In total, he participated in 15 World Championship Grands Prix and scored three championship points. Wharton also had a crash at Donington Park in 1935 but escaped with arm abrasions. Additionally, he achieved impressive results in hill-climb races such as finishing 3rd overall in the Susa/Mont Cenis and 4th overall in the Aosta/Grand Sai in 1951.
