Kenji Sugimura
Kenji Sugimura (杉村 憲司) is a Japanese architect and patent attorney. He was born in Tokyo in 1953 and is the grandson of Nobuchika Sugimura, the founder of Sugimura International Patent and Trademark Attorneys. Sugimura attended Musashi High School and Waseda University, where he studied architecture. He is a registered architect in Japan and the U.K., and has worked for Norman Foster's architectural firm in London from 1978 to 1983. In 1988, he founded Sugimura Fleetwood Architects and Engineers in Tokyo with his partner Roy Fleetwood. After a successful 25-year career as an architect, Sugimura transitioned to becoming a patent attorney. In 2006, he assumed the presidency of Sugimura International Patent and Trademark Attorneys.
