Kenny Everett
Kenny Everett (born Maurice James Christopher Cole; 25 December 1944 – 4 April 1995) was an English radio DJ and television entertainer. He began his career on pirate radio and Radio Luxembourg in the mid-1960s before joining BBC Radio 1 in 1967. Known for his distinctive voices and comical characters, Everett gained popularity on both radio and television. He was dismissed from the BBC in 1970 but later reinstated, and eventually joined Capital Radio when commercial radio was licensed in the UK. In the late 1970s, he transitioned to television, creating and starring in numerous comedy series on ITV and BBC. He often appeared alongside Cleo Rocos, and the two co-hosted the 1987 BBC gameshow Brainstorm.
