Keri Smith

Keri Smith is a Canadian author, illustrator, and conceptual artist. She is known for her work exploring themes of imperfection and impermanence through a visual arts perspective. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Smith also works as a freelance illustrator. Since 2010, she has been teaching part-time at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In 2013, she was appointed as the 'Resident Thinker' for the piece Nowhereisland by artist Alex Hartley in the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. Smith's notable books include Wreck This Journal, which encourages readers to expand their creativity, and This Is Not a Book, a blank book designed to inspire creative responses.
