John Kevin Hines (born August 30, 1981) is an American suicide prevention speaker and advocate. He gained widespread media coverage after surviving a suicide attempt by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Hines has since dedicated his life to raising awareness about suicide prevention, sharing his story as a motivational speaker. He has been featured on CNN, HuffPost, ABC News, Larry King Now, and The Today Show. Hines co-founded the Kevin and Margaret Hines Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, that works towards funding and educating about suicide prevention in the United States and worldwide. Hines's personal experiences with epilepsy and bipolar disorder have further fueled his passion for mental health advocacy.
