Kevin Hurley

Kevin Barry Hurley is a British politician and former police officer. Born in September 1953, he served as the Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner from November 2012 to May 2016. Prior to that, he had an extensive career in law enforcement, having served in the Metropolitan Police and reaching the rank of Detective Chief Superintendent. Hurley also had a military background as an officer in the Territorial Army, where he served in both the Parachute Regiment and the Royal Military Police. He attended St Mary's primary school in Eltham and later studied Civil Engineering at the Victoria University of Manchester, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree.
