With her parents being competitive racers, Wolfkill was exposed to cars and motorsports from a young age. She developed a passion for racing and even learned to drive at the age of 13. Wolfkill studied journalism and art at the University of Washington while also pursuing a career in racing. Eventually, she joined Microsoft and transitioned from multimedia development to working on art for video games. At Microsoft subsidiary 343 Industries, Wolfkill served as executive producer on Halo 4 and later became head of intellectual property expansion and entertainment at Microsoft.
