Kim Barlow
Kim Barlow (born March 10, 1969) is a Canadian folk singer and musician. Raised in rural Nova Scotia and of Anglo-Quebecker descent, Barlow studied classical guitar at Florida State University before settling in the Yukon in the 1990s. She has released albums on Caribou Records and Jericho Beach Music, including Saplings (2010) produced by Jean Martin and Bob Hamilton. Barlow has toured extensively both in Canada and internationally, both as a solo artist and as part of the Pan Canadian New Folk Ensemble with Christine Fellows and Old Man Luedecke. She also collaborates with Mathias Kom in the side project Spring Breakup. Her album Gingerbread was nominated for Roots and Traditional Album of the Year at the Juno Awards.
