Kim Chan Biography
Kim Chan (December 28, 1917 – October 5, 2008) was a Chinese–American actor and producer. Born in Guangdong, China, he emigrated to the United States in 1928. Kim was known for his roles in various films and TV shows, including his portrayal of Lo Si, a.k.a. The Ancient, in Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, and Mr. Kim in The Fifth Element. He also appeared in The King of Comedy alongside Robert De Niro and Jerry Lewis. Some of his other notable roles include Chon Wang's father in Shanghai Knights, Fuji in Who's the Man?, and Uncle Benny Chan in Lethal Weapon 4. Kim Chan passed away on October 5, 2008.
