Kip Niven

Kip Niven (May 27, 1945 – May 6, 2019) was an American actor and theatre director. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, he grew up in Prairie Village, Kansas. Niven graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School and later attended Baylor University before completing his education at the University of Kansas. After college, he served in the Army for three years, including a tour in Vietnam. Niven had a prolific career with nearly 100 credits in film and television. He appeared in notable shows like The Waltons, Alice, and Emergency! and had a recurring role in the TV series Magnum Force. Niven was married twice, first to Susan Tisdall Niven and later to actress Linda Lavin.
