Kurt Krause (April 20, 1883 – November 19, 1963) was a German botanist known for his extensive work on the flora and vegetation of Turkey. Born in Potsdam, Krause authored 33 articles and five books on the subject. From 1933 to 1939, he served as a professor of botany at the Ankara Agricultural Institute in Turkey. Throughout his career, Krause made significant contributions to the field of botany, particularly in his research on Turkish plant life. He retired in 1950, leaving a lasting legacy in the scientific community for his valuable contributions to the study of botany.
