Kyle Baker
Kyle John Baker (born 1965) is an American cartoonist, comic book writer-artist, and animator known for his graphic novels and for a 2000s revival of the series Plastic Man. Born in Queens, New York City, Baker's artistic influences include comic book artist Jack Kirby, caricaturist Jack Davis, and painter and magazine illustrator Norman Rockwell. He has won numerous Eisner Awards and Harvey Awards for his work in the comics field. Baker's parents, both Pratt Institute alumni, exposed him to art from an early age, with his father entertaining him by drawing pictures. Baker's love for comic strips like Pogo, Li'l Abner, Peanuts, Blondie, and B.C. fueled his passion for drawing.
