Lamont Johnson

Lamont Johnson (1922-2010) was an American actor and film director known for his work in television shows and movies. Born in Stockton, California, he attended Pasadena Junior College and UCLA, where he participated in theatrical productions. At the age of 16, Johnson began his career in radio and later played the role of Tarzan in a popular syndicated series. He also worked as a newscaster and a disc jockey. As an actor, he appeared in various films and television shows. Johnson's directing debut came in 1948 with a play in New York, and he went on to direct numerous television episodes. He was the recipient of two Emmy Awards.
