Lance Nichols
Lance Lee Nichols (born July 25, 1939) is an American former baseball player and coach. He played as a catcher and batted right-handed. Nichols had a six-year career in the minor leagues, reaching as far as the Triple-A level. He played for teams such as the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Spokane Indians. After his playing career, Nichols transitioned into coaching and managing. He coached at Dodge City High School for five seasons before becoming a manager in the farm systems of the Montreal Expos, St. Louis Cardinals, and Baltimore Orioles. He reached the Triple-A level with the New Orleans Pelicans in 1977 and the Rochester Red Wings in 1982.
