LaTosha Brown is an American community organizer, political strategist, and consultant. She is widely recognized as the co-founder of Black Voters Matter, a voting rights group that gained prominence for its impactful work in the 2017 U.S. Senate special election in Alabama and its influential role in the 2020–21 Georgia state elections. Born in Selma, Alabama, Brown completed her education at Selma High School and Auburn University at Montgomery. She made unsuccessful attempts at securing positions on the Alabama State Board of Education and the Alabama House of Representatives before dedicating herself to founding nonprofit organizations focused on disaster relief, Black voting rights, and grassroots community development. Brown's notable achievements include the establishment of Black Voters Matter, which has contributed significantly to voter registration and get-out-the-vote efforts in various elections, including the successful campaign of United States Senator Doug Jones in 2017 and the 2020–21 United States Senate elections.
