Parker's work has been influential in the back-to-the-land movement, food-to-table movement, and Locavore movement in California. Her installations and philosophy on soil and locality have had a significant impact on renowned establishments such as Insalata's Restaurant in San Anselmo and Robert Mondavi Winery. Parker's drawings can be found at Insalata's and in Heidi Krahling's book, Insalata's Mediterranean Table.
