Lauren Alaina Kristine Suddeth, born on November 8, 1994, is an American singer and songwriter hailing from Rossville, Georgia. She gained recognition as the runner-up on the tenth season of American Idol. Alaina released her debut studio album, Wildflower, on October 11, 2011, followed by her second album, Road Less Traveled, on January 27, 2017. The title track from Road Less Traveled reached number one on the Country Airplay chart. In collaboration with Kane Brown, her duet 'What Ifs' simultaneously topped five Billboard charts in 2017. Alaina showcased her dancing skills on the twenty-eighth season of Dancing with the Stars, finishing in fourth place with her partner Gleb Savchenko. Her third studio album, Sitting Pretty on Top of the World, was released on September 3, 2021. Alaina's achievements also include her induction into the Grand Ole Opry on February 12, 2022.
