Lauren Elizabeth Jackson (born May 11, 1981) is an Australian professional basketball player. She was awarded a scholarship to the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) at the age of 16. Jackson joined the Canberra Capitals in 1999 and won four Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) championships with the team. From 2010 to 2016, she played with the Seattle Storm in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Jackson has represented Australia in multiple international competitions, including the Olympics. She was a member of the Australian Women's National Basketball Team, nicknamed The Opals, at the 2000, 2004, and 2008 Summer Olympics. Known for her skill and versatility, Jackson is regarded as one of the greatest female basketball players of all time.
