Laurence Paul Fox is an English actor, broadcaster, musician, and political activist. Born on May 26, 1978, in Leeds, he comes from a family with a long history in the entertainment industry. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and made his film debut in The Hole (2001). Fox is best known for his role as James Hathaway in the drama series Lewis (2006–2015). In addition to his acting career, he released a studio album titled Holding Patterns in 2016. Fox has also been involved in politics, publicly expressing conservative views and founding the right-wing populist political party Reclaim. He ran as a candidate in the 2021 London mayoral election but was unsuccessful. Fox's political career has been marked by controversies and legal disputes.
