    LaVar Christopher Ball (born October 23, 1967) is an American businessman, best known as the co-founder and CEO of the sports apparel company Big Baller Brand. He is also the founder of the now defunct Junior Basketball Association (JBA). Ball gained attention as the father of three professional basketball players: Lonzo Ball, LiAngelo Ball, and LaMelo Ball. Prior to his business ventures, Ball played basketball and football in high school and went on to play basketball at West Los Angeles College, Washington State, and Cal State Los Angeles. He also briefly played professional football as a tight end for the London Monarchs of the World League of American Football. Ball had practice squad stints with the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers.
